Welcome to the Illinois Cooperative
Education and Internship Association Website!
ILCEIA is an association of co-op/internship professionals and employers involved with experiential education. The mission of the association is to provide professional development and networking opportunities that will result in expanded work-based learning opportunities for students.
The association is governed by an elected board and welcomes the active participation of all those involved with experiential education. The association meets annually for a spring drive-in conference and holds board meetings, open to the general membership, throughout the year.
ILCEIA is committed:
- To broaden recognition and understanding of the significance and value of Cooperative Education and Internships.
- To strengthen the functioning of Cooperative Education and Internships by providing the opportunity for an exchange of information, ideas, and experiences among employers, educators, students, and local, state, and federal leaders.
- To establish and maintain strong professional relationships with other related organizations.
- To function as a unified source of information for gaining state support and funding for Cooperative Education and Internships.
